Let others shine

Prompted by linkedin to share my thanks to an important mentor, here I go!

About 16 years ago, I had a HR boss, Hendrik (Henk) Wallach who let me experience the power of leadership and team development
that I can practice today:

Let your employees shine!

1. Give them the space to take the lead and the stage for things they are good in.
2. Let go by staying conncected and facilitating the right conditions and driving on the output (the what and the why, not the how).
3. Stay open to their input and feedback, this challenges you as a leader to stay sharp and to develop further too.
4. Build a team with complementary qualities and expertise, with clear responsiblities and domeins of focus.
